At St. Sofia Cathedral, Kyiv, President Victor Yushchenko, his wife Kateryna Yushchenko and their children took part in handing over the Easter Flame to representatives of Orthodox Church confessions in Ukraine.
The tradition had been established by President Yushchenko back in 2005.
