Slovakia concerned about stoppage of gas supplies to Ukraine - Sokolovsky

At his briefing President’s Representative on International Energy Security Bohdan Sokolovsky told reporters Ukrainian delegation had a working meeting with Slovak Minister of Economy in Bratislava.

The delegates went to the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany in accordance with instruction of President Victor Yushchenko and Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, to conduct talks with European partners on the situation with Russian gas transit.

“Slovakia is concerned about the decision of Russia to halt supplies of gas to Ukraine, but shows understanding of the situation with talks on gas supplies”, - said Bohdan Sokolovsky.
According to him Slovak side also showed support to suggestions of the European Commission to invite specialists from Europe to the talks process.
