Ministry of Industrial Policy: Ukraine and Bulgaria sign the Military-Technical Cooperation Agreement

December 12-13, 2008 Minister of Industrial Policy of Ukraine Volodymyr Novytskyi chaired an official delegation of Ukraine to sign the Military-Technical Cooperation Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Government the Republic of Bulgaria in Sophia. The delegation was composed of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Bulgaria Viktor Kalnyk, director of the Department of foreign economic relations of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine Yurii Petrovskyi, deputy director of the Department of defense industrial policy and military-technical cooperation of the Ministry of Industrial Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Krasul.

Minister of Industrial Policy of Ukraine Volodymyr Novytskyi and Minister of Economy and Energy of the Republic of Bulgaria Peter Dimitrov signed the Military-Technical Cooperation Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Government the Republic of Bulgaria.

The parties assured each other that they would spare no effort to make the Agreement come into force as signing of the document aimed at further development of bilateral Ukrainian-Bulgarian military-technical cooperation.

It should be noted that the final (fifth) session of the Ukraine-Bulgaria Intergovernmental Commission on trade-economic cooperation took place in June 2004 in Bulgaria (the city of Warna). So the parties decided to stir up their efforts on holding such meetings. Summing up it was agreed to hold the sixth session of the Commission next year.
