Ukraine ups GDP growth estimate from 6% to 6.5% in Q1

The State Statistics Committee of Ukraine increased its estimate for GDP growth from 6% to 6.5% in January-March 2008 year-over-year.

In April 2008, the International Monetary Fund improved forecast for Ukraine's GDP growth from 5.4% to 5.6% and worsened inflation forecast from 10.6% to 17.1% (December to December).
