Ukraine and Poland have almost reached the highest level of relations over the whole history of Ukraine's independence, Ukrainian Ambassador to Poland Oleksandr Motsyk said at a press conference during the 19th festival of Ukrainian culture in the Polish city of Sopot. "Relations between Ukraine and Poland are dynamically developing," he said.
According to the diplomat, trade and economic cooperation annually grows by 30-40%. "Poland is our fourth economic partner in the world," Motsyk said.
He said that investment cooperation is actively developing, adding that Ukrainian investment in Poland exceeds USD 1 billion. "We have three large [sources of] investment [in Poland] - a steel mill in Huta Czestochowa, a car plant in Warsaw and a shipyard in Gdansk," Motsyk said, adding that over 1,000 companies with either Polish or joint assets are operating in Ukraine.
