Speaking
about inflation in Ukraine
at his quarterly press conference, President Victor Yushchenko said: “I would
like to see more concerted and less politicized work of all national
institutions. We must seriously rework on pragmatic and branch level an
effective measure on fighting inflation and render support for it politically”.
Pointing
to inflation having already reached 10 percent mark Victor Yushchenko stressed:
“Inflation is a test for authorities and, first of all, for the Government. What
is happening now is a yellow card”, - he said urging politician to leave politics behind, stop arguing
and to give professional response to the situation with inflation growth. At
the same time President stressed unacceptability of fighting inflation through imposing
administrative limits and pressure. To him effective inflation counteraction
begins with preparation of “the realistic state budget” and refraining from
administrative pressure.
