Ukrainian Embassy in Lebanon tries to arrange soonest possible departure of Ukrainians staying in Beirut for motherland due to city's airport blocking

The Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Lebanon takes measures to provide for the soonest possible departure for Motherland for those Ukrainians who are not able to leave the city of Beirut due to blocking of roads to the international airport in this city by the Lebanese oppositional forces.

As the Foreign Ministry press service told, on May 7 the Lebanese oppositional forces blocked the highways to the international airport in the city of Beirut. Some airlines had to cancel the planned flights or to put them off.

The Embassy started to receive appeals from the Ukrainian citizens in Beirut, including from a group of athletes consisting of 13 persons, requesting to assist in their return to the territory of our country.
