Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko congratulated veterans of the Great Patriotic War on the Victory Day, the Cabinet's Public Relations Department sources told.
"Dear veterans of the Great Patriotic War! Please, accept my most sincere greetings on the great holiday of the Ukrainian people, the Victory Day. It is hard to find words to convey to you sincere gratitude of the present and the following generations of the Ukrainians for your immortal deed. May 9 is our grief and our joy", the Prime Minister's congratulation reads.
"With each year passing we have less and less witnesses of that bloody battle, but the more distant in the past are those severe, tragic and at the same time grand days, the more important is the heroic deed of our people in the fight for freedom and independence of our Motherland. Ukraine gave millions of lives for the Great Victory. Let them be remembered forever!" the congratulation says.
Yulia Tymoshenko also wished peace, happiness, longevity, good spirits and optimism to all Ukrainian veterans.
