The Ukrainian Interior Ministry has the necessary staff and funds to maintain public order during the finals of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship in Ukraine and plans to prevent violations of law and order, the deputy head of the ministry's public security department, Volodymyr Mayevsky, said.
Mayevsky said that the Interior Ministry would employ policemen to maintain public order at stadiums. He said that the most problematic fans in Ukraine were the fans of the football clubs Dynamo Kyiv, Karpaty Lviv, and Chornomorets Odesa.
Ukraine and Poland won a joint bid to host the finals of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship. Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Lviv will host football matches in Ukraine.
