President Victor Yushchenko met in Vilnius with the Speaker of the Seimas (the Lithuanian Parliament) Česlovas Juršėnas.
Sides discussed development of Ukrainian-Lithuanian parliamentary cooperation and deepening political dialogue between the countries. Separate attention was paid to question of Lithuania’s support of Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. President Yushchenko also thanked the parliamentarians of the Seimas and Speaker Juršėnas personally for adopting a statement on recognizing Holodomor 1932-1933 in Ukraine the genocide against Ukrainians.
