EBRD to invest USD 1.7 billion in Ukraine

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is planning to invest USD 1.5-1.7 billion in Ukraine in 2008, EBRD Director for Ukraine Kamen Zahariev said during an international Investment Forum in Kyiv.

"The EBRD is financing only those countries that are transparent, demonstrate a respective practice of management and have good reputation in the private sector," he said.

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development invested EUR 647 million in 2007, which is 19% down year-on-year.
