President: All the issues in preparation for Victory Day must be solved

The President noted that by April 20 central government and local administrations should harmonize their actions in preparations for the Victory Day. "Particular attention should be paid to this work in regional centers", said the President of Ukraine.

"It is crucial that we did it together. All the issues should be solved", said Viktor Yanukovych.

The President also called on local authorities to discuss celebration of the 65^th Victory anniversary with the philanthropists. "Perform such work. I am sure that local funds will be found to make this day for the veterans even more festive. It must be implemented and monitored", said Viktor Yanukovych.

The President has reminded that 2010 was declared the Year of the Great Patriotic War veterans. However, there are no plans of effective implementation of this decision by the end of the year. According to the President, the Cabinet together with regional state administrations must address this issue. Today the President intends to sign the appropriate orders.

"By our specific actions we will prove that 2010 is the year of veterans indeed", said Viktor Yanukovych.

The President also drew attention to the importance of decent greeting of "Victory Train" in Kyiv, giving a number of assignments to the participants of the meeting.
