Together with his wife Kateryna Yushchenko President Victor Yushchenko took part in memorial service for heroes of Carpatho-Ukraine, who declared independent Ukrainian republic on March 15, 1939 that existed between March 15 and March 18, 1939.
Before the service President Yushchenko put flowers near memorial tablet to president of Carpatho-Ukraine Avgustyn Voloshyn.
