At his joint press conference with the Prime Minister of the Czech republic Mirek Topolanek, President Victor Yushchenko stressed that recent statements of Russian leadership regarding Ukraine-EU-Russia gas dispute humiliate both Ukraine and Russia.
“Absolute majority of these statements contradict reality. For me, as the President, accusations of Ukraine of stealing the gas are unacceptable. Ukraine does not steal the gas. If Russian side’s opinion is different, than the contract provides bringing appropriate suits and reveal the truth in court”, - said Victor Yushchenko.
He also added that such statements harm friendly relations and mutual confidence between Ukraine and Russia.
