President Victor Yushchenko vetoed alterations to the Law of Ukraine on subsistence wage that had been approved by the Verkhovna Rada on December 18, 2008.
According to President, approving subsistence wage by the Verkhovna Rada before consideration and approving state budget, as the alterations suggested, would lead to budgetary misbalance.
