In his letter to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, President Victor Yushchenko expressed concerns about lack of legal basis for gambling business in Ukraine. According to him such a situation leads to negative economic and moral effects on Ukrainian society.
President Yushchenko requested the government to complete a registry of gambling businesses in Ukraine and to conduct proper inspections in these facilities particularly in the field of licensing.
