President Victor Yushchenko took part in today’s opening of the Monument to Holodomor 1932-33 victims in Boryspil district of Kyiv region.
Speaking at the event President Yushchenko thanked authors of the Monument and to all those who contributed to its building.
The participants of the event, with Kyiv Regional Administration Head Vira Ulyanchenko and representatives from towns and districts of Kyiv region among them, placed light up candles near the Monument and honored those lost in the tragedy by observing a moment of silence.
