Servicemen with Ukraine's peacekeeping contingent in Liberia were rewarded with the United Nations Medal in the Service of Peace. A total of 300 Ukrainian peacekeepers of the 56th separate helicopter detachment of Ukraine's Armed Forces of the UN Mission in Liberia were awarded for peace support in this West African country.
Within fulfillment of the UN Mission tasks, Ukrainian helicopter-pilots performed some 1.5 thousand of flights, conveyed more than 600 persons and 284 tons of cargo.
