Ukraine expecting justice reforms soon - Mykola Onishchuk

Ukraine has closely approached to fulfilling crucial reforms in judicial system, criminal justice, combating corruption, the Bar, Ukraine's Justice Minister Mykola Onishchuk told a meeting with Janina Jaruzelski, newly appointed Director of the USAID Regional Mission in Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus.

According to Mykola Onishchuk, the country will shortly implement a range of justice projects that may create new legal instruments to help Ukraine complete its transition to a sustainable democratic development.

The Minister also said the new Criminal Procedural Code is planned to be shortly presented which is to fundamentally reform the system of pre-trial investigation in Ukraine and improve remedial procedures in line with internationally accepted democratic standards.
