Ukraine to partake in IAEA emergency response exercise

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will conduct July 9-10 an emergency response exercise Convex-3 by scenario of hypothetical accident at Laguna Verde APP in Mexico.

Participating in the exercise on the part of Ukraine will be the State Nuclear Regulatory Committee which is to provide a round-the-clock duty of specialists of its Information Crisis Center.

There are 4 nuclear power plants operating in Ukraine with 15 power generation units with the set capacity of 13,888 MW.
