New multifunctional complex to be built in Lviv ahead of Euro 2012

A total of UAH 400 million (USD 1 / UAH 4.84) will be raised to build a multifunctional complex in Lviv (West Ukraine) ahead of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship, according to the press service of the Lviv city council.

In particular, Lviv plans to reconstruct a railway complex in the city, as it signed a memorandum with the Dutch Movares to draw up a strategy for building European-style railways at the section from the Polish border to Lviv.

Movares provides consulting services in transport infrastructure.

In all, Lviv region plans to raise UAH 25.435 billion to finance the program on Euro 2012 preparations.

Kyiv, Lviv, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk will host Euro 2012 finals in Ukraine. Odesa and Kharkiv are reserve cities.
