Ukraine's Acting First Deputy Foreign Minister Yuriy Kostenko and State Secretary/Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigoriy Karasin of Russia held consultations in Moscow discussing current issues of Ukraine-Russia cooperation.
According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Information and Press department, during the meeting the parties noted a positive trend of ties in trade-economic area, they also discussed a schedule of bilateral political contacts till the end of 2008.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that Y. Kostenko and G. Karasin also dwelled on the problems hampering a positive development of bilateral cooperation. At the same time the Russian MFA said the "consultations were frank and constructive".
