At his joint press availability with President of Hungary László Sólyom, President Victor Yushchenko thanked the Hungarian leader for his country’s support of Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
He also informed the media that during today’s talks the two Presidents discussed next NATO Summit, scheduled on December, and Hungary’s position on Ukraine’s aspiration to win NATO MAP at this meeting.
“We would like to thank Hungarian side for its constant support of Ukraine in the question. That support is clear for Ukrainian side and that clearness makes us see great friends in the Hungarian Republic and its President”, - said Victor Yushchenko.
From his part President László Sólyom promised that his country will put maximum efforts in NATO finding consensus on Ukraine’s membership in the alliance at the December Summit.
