Friday morning Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko introduced acting Head of the State Property Fund (SPF) Andriy Portnov, she told a press conference today.
"In the morning I introduced acting Head of the State Property Fund Andriy Portnov", Y. Tymoshenko emphasized. At the same time, she reminded that on February 6 the Cabinet by its resolution removed Valentyna Semenyuk from fulfillment of SPF Head duties for the period of carrying out a line-of-duty investigation and appointed Andriy Portnov to the post of SPF acting Head. At the same time Y. Tymoshenko added that the Constitutional Court refused President Viktor Yushchenko in opening constitutional proceedings on Valentyna Semenyuk's dismissal and recognized the President's actions as unlawful. A district administrative court suspended all President's decrees concerning unconstitutional nature of Valentyna Semenyuk's dismissal from the post of Head of the State Property Fund.
Yesterday during a traditional quarter press conference President Viktor Yushchenko noted that discharge of Head of the State Property Fund should be carried out exclusively in the Parliament. "It is possible to discharge Head of the State Property Fund exclusively in the Parliament in a way provided by the law", he stressed.
