Opening his official visit to Lithuania President Victor
Yushchenko was welcomed by the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus. The ceremony took place in Vilnius today.
After
military orchestra having played anthems of both countries, reciprocal introduction
of the official delegations took place. From Ukraine the participants of the
ceremony were Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko, Defense Minister Yuriy
Yekhanurov, Energy Minister Yuriy Prodan, Minister for Transport Yosyp Vinsky,
Minister for Culture Vasyl Vovkun, Education Minister Ivan Vakarchuk, Kyiv
Regional Administration Head Vira Ulyanchenko.
