Culture and Tourism Ministry and the Federal Agency on Culture and Cinematography of Russia signed a Protocol to the Bipartite Plan of Cooperation for 2007-2008 in Moscow.
Ukraine and Russia will jointly celebrate the 200th Birth Anniversary of Nikolai Gogol and the 150th Birth Anniversary of Anton Chekhov.
In the sphere of cinematography, it is expected to prepare holding of Days of the Ukrainian Film in Russia (2009). For the youth of Ukraine and Russia, it is planned to hold the youth forum (2009).
Cultural agencies of both countries agreed also to promote holding of fine arts exhibitions.
