President informed about investigation of 17-year-old's death




President
Victor Yushchenko was informed by Minister of Health Vasyl Knyazevych about preliminary
conclusions made by a special inquiry commission, initiated by the ministry to
investigate death of a 17-year-old schoolboy Anton Tyshchenko from Kramatorsk, Donetsk
region, after receiving measles vaccination.



“According
to preliminary information it is inappropriate to say for sure that the cause
for death of the schoolboy was the vaccine”, - said the Minister in his report,
adding that it was decided that the commission would conduct additional
inspection of al the circumstances of the tragedy and present its final
conclusions after that.

Knyazevych informed that the commission has revealed that A. Tyshchenko has
been given flawed emergency treatment and stressed that those responsible would
face appropriate punishment.
