Under the latest reports, the number of casualties in the 7.8 force earthquake (Richter scale) in Southwest China Monday has reached 9,219, according to Ukraine's embassy to China. No Ukrainian citizens were registered among them, the Ukrainian foreign ministry press service told.
China's agencies in charge are taking measures to make maximum effective rescue efforts in the quake-hit zone.
