At the meeting of National Council on cooperation between state authorities and local self-government in Crimea President Victor Yushchenko said that he would support the idea of Defense Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov to renew Ukrainian cities’ patronage over Ukrainian Navy vessels.
He reminded that nowadays many vessels in Ukrainian Navy are named after Ukrainian cities therefore it would be reasonable for the corresponding cities to provide sponsorship for these vessels.
