After meeting his Swedish counterpart Carl Bildt, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk told a press conference in Kiev that he hopes the Nordic and Baltic countries will help the country gain European Union membership.
Speaking to journalists Arseniy Yatsenyuk said he offered Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt a serious tool with which to support the European initiative in the Ukraine - a group of ”Ukrainian friends” within the EU.
Other topics on the table included bilateral economic relationships and the unresolved conflict in Kosovo.
Bildt is on a two day visit to the Ukraine before moving on to Georgia.
