Government of Ukraine cancelled quotas for export of wheat

Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine cancelled quotas for export of wheat, informed Vice-Prime-Minister on Agriculture issues, Viktor Slauta with Government meeting completed on May, 16.

He also added that according to Government data export of wheat from Ukraine till the end of the current marketing year can total 3 mln tonnes.

We remind that in autumn 2007 Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine imposed licenses and quotas for export of grains. Later export quotas for barley and maize had been cancelled, however, quotas for export of wheat were valid till nowadays. Export quota for wheat for the current marketing year totaled 3.000 tonnes.
