Gas pipeline Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhhorod enters full capacity after repair

The gas pipeline Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhhorod entered full capacity after repair, the National JSC "NaftoGaz of Ukraine" press-service reported. According to the company, the system operates in a customary mode.

On May 7, at 15:15 p.m. the loss of containment of a section of the arterial gas pipeline Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhhorod near the compressor station of the Stavyshche (the Bohuslav district, the Kyiv region) took place with further natural gas ignition.

As a result of the gas pipeline explosion, 12,610 gas consumers were out of gas supply.

Ukraine's obligations on the natural gas transit to European consumers were fulfilled by means of increasing gas supply by other gas pipelines and extension of gas recovery from underground gasholders.
