President Yanukovych visits Moscow

In the morning the President visited the Novodevichy cemetery, where he laid flowers at the grave of Georgi Beregovoy, pilot and cosmonaut, twice Hero of the Soviet Union, who was Viktor Yanukovych’s tutor. He also took part in a short service held at the cemetery.

The President of Ukraine also laid flowers at the grave of the first Russian President Boris Yeltsin.

Today Viktor Yanukovych will also take part in a baptism of his school friend’s grandson as a godfather.

In the afternoon President Viktor Yanukovych is scheduled to meet President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
