President: 2010 draft budget provides raising salaries and pensions

"I promised to raise pensions and salaries, and we foreseen this in the budget. It will happen," he said.

Viktor Yanukovych also said that recently Ukrainian economy has started growing. "The economy has begun to grow, and will be growing further. We will bring order to the economy, and to life, and everything will be fine. We just should wait a little, not all at once will happen," he said.

The President also spoke for leaving more funds to local budgets for development, but noted that implementation of such initiative would take time.

"You know the condition we received the country in. So you understand that before we give, we must earn," said President Yanukovych.
