New gas agreements will allow keeping gas price to citizens at previous level - President

"Today, when Ukraine's economy is in such a difficult situation, this decision will enable us to essentially help our economy. And it will give us the opportunity not to raise tariffs for gas and other utilities this year," he said.

According to him, the reached agreements also open the opportunity to Ukraine to significantly stabilize the prices for most consumer goods.

In addition, the Head of State emphasized, the agreements would contribute to "ensuring economic growth and competitiveness of industries with high energy consumption."
