President Victor Yushchenko was officially welcomed in Switzerland by the President of the Confederation Hans-Rudolf Merz. The ceremony took place at the Lohn Manor in Kehrsatz, Bern.
After walking past guards of honor and hearing anthems of the two countries the two Presidents took part in introduction of Ukrainian and Swiss delegations to each other.
Among those representing Ukraine during the official visit of President Yushchenko to Switzerland were acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Volodymyr Khandogiy, Minister for Culture and Tourism Vasyl Vovkun, National Bank of Ukraine Chairman Volodymyr Stelmakh, Intelligence Service Head Mykola Malomuzh, other officials.
