President visits Ukrainian Catholic University of Lviv

In Lviv President Victor Yushchenko visited Ukrainian Catholic University where he met with students and faculty.

In his address President Yushchenko pointed to important role the church plays in consolidation of citizens around building up the new Ukraine. According to him it is important that spiritual and cultural values were preserved "so that people could reach better understanding of their destiny through them".

At the meeting the President also invited the rector of the Ukrainian Catholic University Borys Gudziak to take part in the presidential official visit to Vatican on June 1 as a member of the official Ukrainian delegation.
