President Victor Yushchenko met with Security Service Head Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.
At the meeting the Security Service Head reported to the President on the results of joint work of the Service and Office of the Prosecutor General in fighting crime in banking sector.
“Prosecutor General’s Office and the Security Service dedicated their attention to first of all fighting corruption in banking, particularly illegal transfer of budgetary funds abroad”, - said Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.
President Yushchenko instructed PG's Offeice and Security Service to begin work with the NBU to deprive banks that were involved in corruption schemes of their licenses. He also requested that all the authorities informed Ukraine’s international partners on the development of investigation.
