Speaking at the meeting on reconstruction of regions damaged by 2008 summer floods President Victor Yushchenko urged all the authorities to focus on financing a program of flood prevention measures.
“Every level of authority, every ministry is able to mobilize resources for us to be sure that 2009 program of flood prevention measures is financed normally”, - he said.
President Yushchenko requested local authorities to prepare in 10 days term their reports on resources available in local budgets that could be used for financing restoration works in the damaged regions and flood prevention measures.
He also informed that he would address the Government with the sugesstion to reallocate 1,5 billion hryvnyas of budgetary funds foreseen in 2009 for development of regions.
