President Victor Yushchenko with his wife Mrs. Kateryna Yushchenko and Governor General of Canada Michaelle Jean with her husband Jean-Daniel Lafond honored victims of the Holodomor 1932-33 in Ukraine by putting pots with ears of wheat and light up candles near the Holodomor Memorial.
