President's Representative on Energy Security Bohdan Sokolovsky told at his today's briefing that economically substantiated price of Russian gas for Ukraine estimates around 200$ per 1,000 cubic meters.
According to him in calculation of such a price Ukrainian side proceeded from the agreement between Ukrainian and Russian Presidents of February 2008, the intergovernmental memorandum and the agreement between Naftogaz of Ukraine and Gazprom.
"With regard to these agreements the economically substantiated price in the first quarter of 2009 should fluctuate from 192.6 dollars per 1,000 cubic meters with transit fee of 2.2 dollars, to 218.8 dollars with transit fee of 2.47 dollars", - said Bohdan Sokolovsky adding that Ukrainian side is ready to provide all explanation and substantiation of these calculations.
