On the occasion of National Reunion Day, in Baturyn, President Victor Yushchenko took part in an opening of the monument ‘Hetmans' Glory', built at the territory of national historical preserve ‘Hetman's Capital'.
After that President Yushchenko took part in an opening of the restores complex ‘Baturyn Stronghold Citadel' and honored the memory of those, who were killed in Baturyn by putting flowers near ‘The Monument of the Cross'.
Beside that President Yushchenko took a tour of the restored citadel and visited a museum "Hetman's House".
Other participants of the festive arrangements were NSDC Secretary Raisa Bohatyryova, Vice Prime Minister Ivan Vasiunyk, Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko, Defense Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov, Minister for Culture Vasyl Vovkun, other officials.
