President Victor Yushchenko met with the President of Slovakia Ivan Gasparovic.
At the meeting sides discussed the situation with supplies of Russian gas to Europe. President Yushchenko expressed assurance that "we will find a way out of this situation no matter how complicated it is" and emphasized that Slovakia for Ukraine is a "friend and a special partner".
President Yushchenko assured President Gasparovic that Ukraine is keeping up to its international obligations regarding transit of Russian gas and said that Russia's cutting off supplies remain incomprehensible for Ukrainian side.
"I am sure that it is a challenge for all of us and we must find adequate steps to secure energy security of our countries", - said Victor Yushchenko.
