President Victor Yushchenko received a phone call from the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Mirek Topolanek.
Prime Minister Topolanek informed President Yushchenko that he would visit Ukraine on January 9 to discuss the situation with Russian gas transit through Ukrainian territory and to take part in the mission of European observers at key facilities of Ukrainian gas transport system.
President Yushchenko from his part thanked Prime Minister Topolanek for his readiness to take part in the observers’ mission and expressed hope that the situation would be regulated soon.
