On January 6-7 of 2009 during celebration in every region of the country almost 5.5 million people attended 14 thousand churches where Christmas divine services were held. Public order and safety of citizens during festive celebrations have been ensured by over 18.7 thousand militia officers and 830 law enforcement officers of MIA of Ukraine.
Christmas holidays passed without violations.
