President speaks to journalists on Yevpatoriya blast

President Victor Yushchenko talked to journalists after inspecting together with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko rescue works at the site of yesterday’s Yevpatoriya blast.

“We have reached agreement that before December 31 all the victims will be resettled”, - said Victor Yushchenko in the interview. He assured again that the state would not forget about the victims and give them all possible support.

Speaking about the causes of the disaster President Yushchenko informed that preliminary results of the investigation show that it may have happened because of oxygen cylinders that had been in the basement of the building. He also added that the prosecutor’s office is yet to investigate the case to provide any authentic information on possible causes.

President Yushchenko thanked to the Government and to all the authorities that quickly reacted to the tragedy and applied measures on rescuing the victims. He also expressed grattitude on behalf of the state who offered help and condolences to Ukraine.
