Answering the question about possibility of alteration of the procedure or early presidential election in Ukraine at the annual press conference, President Victor Yushchenko said that any statements on that are provocations.
President Yushchenko stressed that Ukraine is a democratic European state where no serious alteration to the Constitution is possible without the nation accepting and approving it.
“The situation is arranged with only one goal – to convey through journalists another message of provocation or instability to the nation”, - said Victor Yushchenko making comments on intentions of some political forces to call early elections.
“For the time of my presidency in this country, President will be elected by direct public vote”, - said Victor Yushchenko.
