President prays for those lost in the Great Famine

In St. Sophia Cathedral of Kyiv President Victor Yushchenko together with his Wife Kateryna Yushchenko took part in a memorial service for those lost in the Great Famine of 1932-1933 in Ukraine.

Among those who came to pray for the peace of Holodomor victims’ souls were Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Vice-Prime Minister Ivan Vasyunyk NSDC Secretary Raisa Bohatyryova, central executive authorities officials, state deputies, public and cultural figures.

The service was conducted jointly by representatives of all religious branches present in Ukraine.
