After the credentials ceremony President Victor Yushchenko conducted a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine H.E Tadashi Idzava.
The two officials have discussed bilateral relations between Ukraine and Japan in political, economic, investment field, etc.
President repeated his invitation to the Prime Minister of Japan to visit Ukraine in 2009. He also thanked the Japanese side for support of Ukraine’s international incentives regarding commemoration of the Great Famine.
From his part the Ambassador f Japan conveyed to President Yushchenko greetings from Emperor Akihito.
