Within the framework of observation of the 75th anniversary of Holodomor in Ukraine President Victor Yushchenko together with his wife Kateryna Yushchenko came to National Philharmonic Society to watch a premiere of ‘Mournful mother’ oratorio.
The oratorio was written by Taras Shevchenko National Prize laureate Yuriy Laniuk.
Among those present at the event also were NSDC Secretary Raisa Bohatyryova, Education Minister Ivan Vakarchuk, state deputies Vyacheslav Kyrylenko and Ivan Plyushch, Director of the Institute of National Memory Ihor Yukhnovsky, Chairman of National Council on Culture Mykola Zhulynsky.
